Long Wait

Guys, it isn't my fault. There has been ads all over the space your supposed to type on, and I have been unable to post anything.

So, let's get started!

Okay, so my friend, Bea, took me to the Plaza de EspaƱa. FUN FACT TIME: a scene from Star Wars was filmed there. Google it.

It was so huge. And reminded me of a monument in Washington DC because all around, on the walls, were the pictures depicting all the states or counties of Spain. Like the Malaga one you see a few photos above.

THEN, we went to this restaurant called "Pura Gura", which literally means that you are eating but full but keep eating because it's so good. Southerners, we know about this. I mean, they had a buffet of pizza that ended with desert pizzas. Proceed:

It's not Spanish or anything, but it was darn good!

Also, she took me to Alcazar! It was beautiful: many beautiful buildings and gardens.

Another day, I spent the night with another friend, Laura, and we went to Puerto Jerez. Luckily, they were having an amazing parade that consisted of the dancing of people dressed in different styles of cultures.
My favorite are in this last picture. They were wearing cowboy outfits with additions of feathers and face paint to represent Indians. Cowboys and Indians! It's funny, so laugh with me.

We, also, went shopping, but I am sure you don't want to see all of my new clothes. If you do, find me when I get back.

(All my new clothes are cute, by the way.)

Okay. Back to business.

I wa really lucky to see a practice run of a Semana Santa - Holy Week - parade.
Yeah, zoom in on that large, moving, holy object that has FEET underneath it. First, I was thinking, "Oh my goodness, is this a bad Halloween joke?", but Laura explained that the people volunteer to carry it. They can't see anything underneath, and they walk at a very slow pace, getting breaks every so often.

For the past two weekends, I have been staying at friends' houses in order to hang out in the center of Seville.

Can't believe that I only have 10 days left. It has gone by quick!

(Raquel, me, and Laura)

I am going to miss these girls and this beautiful city.

I will post again before I leave.

Hasta luego.
